Fall's must have bag - The satchel
Unless you've been hiding under a rock, you all know that this fall's must-have handbag is the satchel.
I like this Rose Print Bedford "Bea" satchel from MZ Wallace. The fabric this bad boy is truly delectable - just wait until you feel it's uber soft satin!
Even the lining is a rich, black satin. And pockets galore - a space for everything. Aaaaand, it comes with an adorable market purse that you can use for makeup, as a wallet or for just able anything.

Go nuts for nuts
Most people will tell you that I'm a little nutty. Nuts about nuts, they mean. I eat them every day.
I actually just started with a trainer at the gym and she's included them as part of my nutritional plan.
Every day I count out and eat 28 almonds.
I recently tried oven-baked Snacktrition Calcuim Sea Salt Almonds and they are fabulous and so much better than regular the typical oil-baked ones I typically buy. Even better? Calcium and fiber are baked into the almonds, making it much easier to achieve my recommended daily requirements.
But when I really want to treat myself, I grab the Snacktrition Calcium and Fiber Fruit & Nut Mix. It's super yummy!

Fall's coolest new accessory
The coolest accessory this fall isn't jewelry or a scarf, or even a bag. Nope. Fall's coolest accessory is the Jawbone Bluetooth headset.
Available in three different colors, Goldy Lips (see here), Blah Blah Black and Silver Tongue, the Jawbone has style, grace and amazing performance.
Jawbone is the only headset device with NoiseAssassin™ audio quality, Jawbone's unique patented technology
that separates speech from ambient noise with
remarkable precision.
So feel free to grab this baby and have a phone conversation while in a loud public area (or your car), without having to scream at the top of your lungs. And look super stylish while you're at it.

Stay stylishly warm this fall
Ready for fall? I sure was when I saw Charlotte this adorable pair of boots from 100-year-old Australian boot maker, Warmbat's Koz Collection. Don't they look cozy?
You have no idea! These babies are lined with Luxurious "A" grade sheepskin and the footbed has "Memory Foam" cushioned that's removable and washable. You'll feel as if you're walking on clouds.
They're absolutely perfect for the winter, too. Here in New England, our winters are cold and very snowy, so a pair of good, warm, waterproof boots is an absolute necessity.
Lucky us that these fashionable babies are waterproof and have an extreme weather barrier system to boot!
Me? I dig the red, but if you like a more subtle look, check out the brown and black options as well. Definitely stop by Warmbat.com, though; they have a huge selection of footwear - boots, shoes, slippers and sandals - for the entire family.

Purely Decadent coconut milk "ice cream"
I've got "ice cream" in quotes up there because this Purely Decadent non-dairy frozen dessert isn't ice cream. No milk, baby. No soy, either! Say hello to ice cream and bye-bye to lactose intolerance! How can that be? Easy! It's made with coconut milk instead of cow's milk, which gives it a taste of coconut that blends well with the main flavor. It's also decadently creamy with a consistency even smoother than ice cream and half the fat and contains only 65% of the calories in "regular" ice cream. It wins over my frozen yogurt any day.
Other great stuff about it?
-
Dairy Free
- Lactose Free
- Cholesterol Free
- No Trans Fats
- Certified Vegan
- Certified Made with Organic Ingredients
It's so easy to find, there's no reason not to try it out on this July 4th weekend! You'll be the hit of the BBQ!

Remembering back in the day
Dudes, I just spent waaaaay too much time surfing for shirts at 80sTees.com. That place is like Target - it sucks you in and won't let you out without spending at least $60 because the STUFF IS SO DAMN GOOD.
And you know, it transports me back in the day. Before conference calls, reports, and responnnnnsibility.
Remember these?

Salty chocolate
Whoever thought up the idea of combining sea salt and chocolate was brilliant. Why didn't I think of it first? I could be a millionaire!
I've been a lover of this combination since my good friend Janet introduced me to the barcelona bar by Vosges - and now I'm an addict. Everywhere I go I search high and low for salty chocolate.
I found this Organic Milk Sea Salt and Almonds Chocolate Bar in Vermont at the Lake Champlain chocolate store. It's chocolatey, salty and even has almonds.
You can feel good about eating it, too. It's organic!

I built my own Hello Kitty!
She's my alter-ego you see. Or I'm hers, I haven't decided.
Isn't she the coolest? My Hawaiian Style Tropical Hello Kitty is from Build-A-Bear. You know - the place at the mall where you can make your own stuffed animals? Did you know you could make a Hello Kitty there?
Yes, ma'am.
It's the perfect place to bring your daughter, niece, cousin, *cough*self*cough* to build your own personal alter-ego. You get to pick out their clothes, dress them and can even play online with them!
They had me at "clothes" - I'm heading over right now and picking up a flashy new outfit for my Kawaii Kitty! Kitty needs a wedding gown!
PS - And for the record, My name is Megan, I'm 32 years old and I adore Hello Kitty. Am I alone here?

Dad, I #%&$*!% love ya!
I learned curse words watching my dad fix things. Just like the scene from "The Christmas Story," my dad frequently cursed to express his exasperation at anything and everything that went wrong while trying to fix things.
Most of the time it involved teeny tiny little nuts and bolts that he could never quite keep a hand on. For some wee things, they sure brought about some big words!
So, in honor or the greatest #%$@&%^&$ Dad in all of the world, I present the Handy Magnet Wristband. If it weren't for you, I would never have developed my colorful truck driver tongue. You %$#@#^&% ROCK!
Check it out at Uncommon goods. One of my top two favorite gift sites! w00t w00t!
PS - hey, while you're there, why not pick up a little sumptin' for yourselfish?
That's what I'm talking about!

Amazon has Father's Day wrapped up in a bow
My Dad loves watches and fortunately for me, so do I. I love browsing the watch department, looking for THE perfect watch.

Check it out, kids - this Jacques Lemans watch retails for $1,695, but Amazon is practically giving it away for $309. Aaaaand they're also offering an additional 20% off this watch at checkout. That nets out to $247.20. I love a bargain.

Well, Hello Sugar!
Ladies, meet Hello Sugar - Bath & Body Works' sweetest fragrance to date. And being a lover of all things sweet, I just had to get it. The minute I smelled the sugar- and lemon-scented indulgence, I was hooked. I just love it when I discover a new fragrance, don't you?
Be the sweet center of attention when you lavish yourself with this self-indulgent 3-in-1 body wash, bubble bath and shampoo in a tastefully tart lemon sugar scent. She knows that I luuuurve sweet scents (she likes 'em spicy!), being the center of attention, and lavishing myself.
I picked up this bottle of Hello Sugar 3-in-1 shampoo, body wash, and bubble bath and all of the other shower gels and washes are green with envy and fear they'll never get chosen again.
How about you? What's your favorite Bath & Body scent?

My new Hello Kitty debit card
For those of you who don't know - I'm a little crazy I am about Hello Kitty. Yes, I'm thirty-two years old and I have a plush Hello Kitty sitting on my desk? Well, this morning I was doing some research for work at Sanrio.com (I kid you not!) and I stumbled upon this here Hello Kitty credit card.
Now, I already have my very own Hello Kitty credit card (I get points!) that I picked up a little over a year ago (mine's pink and much cuter than this black one. But there's something new - a Hello Kitty checking account and debit card!
Imagine how thrilled I was to find out that this was through my bank (Bank of America) and that I could sign up with my existing account.
I was only the teensiest bit embarrassed when the gentleman on the phone asked what he could help me with. "Ummm.... I'd like to convert to a Hello Kitty checking account." He was very nice. Said lots of ladies have been signing up.
Yeah, but was every lady as giddy as I was knowing that a Hello Kitty debit card with my name on it would soon be in my hands? I think not!
Hello Kitty not your thing? No worries, Bank of America's got you covered with a whole selection of themes to choose from including Precious Moments, Anne Geddes, charities, professional organizations, colleges and just about any sport team out there.
Go get 'em tiger!

My Arcona Hair Care Top Three
We've become huge fans of Arcona here at A Girl Must Shop. We just can't get enough!
Having most recently tried the Green Tea Cleansing Base Shampoo, Essential Nutrients Karite Conditioner, and Essential Nutrients Silk Leave-in Conditioner, I'm now a devoted fan for life.
The ultra-mild Hypo-Allergenic shampoo smells lovely and while it's not as thick as other shampoos, it gives a great lather and cleans with only one shot with means no rinse, lather and repeat!
The conditioner is fabulous - a little goes a long way and my hair is always smooth and shiny after my shower. Of course that could also be the leave-in conditioner that does triple-duty as a sun/heat protectant. Either way it makes my hair feel like it's been to a day at the spa - every day!
What's better than that? Get some for yourself at Arcona.com or find an authorized spa or other retailers in your area.

SunBotanicals - Don't leave home without it!
It's that time of the year again! The sun it out, the weather is warm and we love, love, love to spend our time outside.
But, be sure to remember your sunscreen! While the sun provides good stuff (like vitamin D), too much sun can cause harmful effects, like skin cancer - which is the 5th most common cancer in the United States.
Hate sunscreen, the greasiness, the smell, the stinging eyes? Don't we all! Well, hate no more because SunBotanicals has come out with a line of sunscreen that smell lovely and feel just like body lotion! Check out their three amazing scents today.

growLively unique designs
Looking for a new piece of jewelry that's different, not too girly, and perhaps a little mod? Well check out this Muscari necklace by growLively designs. Isn't it perfectly simple?
Argentium Sterling silver pendant with muscari (grape hyacinth) motif. The face of the pendant is curved, creating a hollow center through which the silver chain threads. The motif casts a delicate shadow on the back of the pendant which is lightly patina'd for a greenish gray finish. Pendant measures approximately 1" in length and 5/8" in width. The handmade clasp and sterling silver chain measure 16 inches in length.
Each piece is hand made for each order, giving it a unique character. Pretty!

Hang something pretty
Do you ever get the feeling like you need something pretty? When I get that feeling I head over to etsy.com and trade my dollars for beauty.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the joy of Etsy, it's a on-line marketplace for handmade items. Why buy the mass-produced, cookie-cutter stuff that everyone has, when you can get something unique and handmade while supporting the artist community?
Today I found this gorgeous limited edition canvas print - Green Pastures by Natasha Wescoat. It's bright and lively even better - make me smile.
Head over and grab a print of your own, or search one of the zillions of artists on Etsy.

chicBuds: candy for your ears
We all know the plain vanilla earbuds, right? Those lonely white earphones that everyone has, making us all look the same. I say stand out from the crowd. Be different, catch the light and make people look twice when you sport these ultra-blingy new chicBuds.
This cool, new ear candy is made with genuine Swarovski Crystals and is available in five delicious "flavors": Blueberry, Grape, Watermelon,
Sour Apple, Marshmallow and Diamond!
My favorite thing about these fancy-schmancy chicBuds is the retractable cord. Never again will I be forced to wrap a cord around my beautiful iPod or untangle errant cords. Nope, these babies zip right up for easy-peasy storage.
Go on girl. Rock on with yo' bad self ;)

Chocolate sandals? Yup!
You can't eat them, though. Well, I suppose you could if you really wanted to, but I'm sure you'd much rather wear them.
I just discovered these Pala chocolate sandals from Cobian. I had never heard of them before, but they have a fabulous selection of sandals for women, men and kids.
They've got a small selection of adorable shoes for girls and a little birdie told me that they're coming out with an even bigger selection for the fall, so be on the look-out. You'll want to be the first to grab 'em when they come out!
Grab these Pala chocolate sandals and many more Cobian footwear at Zappos.com. or check out Cobian's web site for local retailers.

FREE GIVEAWAY! Bossa Nova: The Official Superfruit juice
I don't know what an acai is, nor do I know how to pronounce it. Well, I didn't until I happened upon Bossa Nova.
What is açai? Açai (ah-sci-ee) is a rainforest berry - a small, dark purple fruit that grows on palm trees on the floodplains of the Amazon basin. Recent scientific study has earned it the enviable title of “world’s healthiest fruit” in part, because it is likely to be the world’s highest antioxidant fruit.Well, we all know that antioxidants are great (you know, the stuff that helps to inhibit premature aging, heart disease, cancer and Alzheimer disease by neutralizing free radicals?).
And this stuff is full of it. So it's good for you. But it also tastes great. The blueberry is my favorite. Check 'em out - you can find them in most grocery stores (I've seen them in Hannaford) or visit the Bossa Nova website for a list of retailers near you.
FREE GIVEAWAY!
Leave a comment (don't be shy, your information is kep private) and tell us which flavors you'd like to try. Five random readers will receive two FREE bottles of Bossa Nova. Hurry! Last day for entries is Friday, 7am EST.

Spring out some new dresses and shoes
This weekend I was inspired by the gorgeous Spring weather that I did a bit of virtual window shopping. I hit the shoe department (as usual) and just HAD to find some dresses to match. I want them all. Which is your favorite?

Shemergency to the rescue!
What's a shemergency? According to Ms. & Mrs.:
They're the beauty blunders, fashion faux pas, and personal care predicaments that keep women from looking and feeling their best. We've all had 'em - a run, a hangnail, a headache, wardrobe malfunction, last-minute cat fur disaster, static ans stinkies - you name it, the shemergency survival kit has you prepared.
Small as it looks (the size of a small make-up case) this kit has it all...
Folding hair brush with mirror, hair spray, clear elastics, earring backs, hand lotion, nail clipper, emery board, clear nail polish, nail polish remover, mending kit, safety pin, double-sided tape, lint remover, shoe shine wipes, stain remover, static remover, breath freshener, lip balm, dental floss, pain reliever, deodorant wipes, tampon, adhesive bandages, facial tissues.I know! I wonder, too, how it all fits in the bag. I think it's some kind of optical illusion! Oh, and the bag is the best part - it's made of metal mesh and has a cute little fingernail clipper attached. You'll never want to leave home without it.
Make a fabulous gift! Check out Ms. & Mrs. for more handy emergency kits including one for the bride, bridesmaid, working girl and MORE!

Plus-sized girls must shop, too!
Hey ladies,
Many apologies for the radio silence. I'm just back from an extended weekend away in fabulous NYC. Lots of shopping - mostly chocolate! Here's a review from my cousin Kerry:
Plus-sized girls must shop, too! But with the lack of options in the mall, I've recently turned to finding fashion online. Enter the trench dress from IGIGI.Is there an item you'd like to review here at A Girl Must Shop? Just contact us and we'll post it for you!
After some hemming and hawing (it's a little pricey at $139.00), I finally just bought it. And I'm glad I did...it's fabulous!
The material, a polyblend, is soft and comfortable, but the shape looks sharp and structured. It's great for the office or even a more dressy occasion and its classic style will never go out of style!
The sizing charts on Igigi helped me choose a dress that fit me perfectly, shipping was quick, and with a little help from Google, I found a coupon code that saved me 20% on my order! I'll definitely order from IGIGI again!

What do you believe?
I'm a total chezball.
I also have a habit of cruising etsy for anything and everything that contains the word "believe". That's how I came across this gorgeous silver believe necklace. I added it as a favorite and went along my merry way.
Shortly thereafter, Buffy from B-Unique shot me an email to let me know my beloved believe necklace was on sale. That's all she had to say since, as we all know, sale is my favorite word!
I found it in my mail box just the other day and it hasn't left my neck - I love it! This picture? Doesn't do it justice - it's amazing! Go check out Buffy's stuff - she's got tons of jewelry and some creative cards, too. I love her bio - this line popped out at me:
"I love making things that make people smile."
Yes, Buffy's my new best friend and soul mate! Go check her out and support a crafter!

Crack for dark chocolate lovers: Royal Dark Cadbury Mini Eggs
I bought one of the big bags once. Once! I opened the bag up, ate one, then another, and I swear next thing I knew the bag was gone! They are dangerous! One on my many guilty pleasures.
But you know what I found yesterday when I hit the local CVS for an emergency chocolate fix? ROYAL DARK Cadbury Mini Eggs! I swear the heavens opened up, angels sang, and sunlight shown down through the drop ceiling and lit upon these babies. They were mine!
I was good - I only got one bag (on top of some Reece's Peanut Butter Cups, Lindt extra dark chocolate truffles, Baked Lays and a Caffeine-free Diet Coke. Yes. I did.).
The bag was empty before I got home. Delicious!

Add a little Magic to your Kitchen
I wish I had the extra time, energy, and motivation to get off my tookus and make a nice meal, but after a long day a work, it's all used up.
Usually I throw together some pasta, a veggie burger or do take out, but there's only so much of that I can take and takeout is nearly always bad for me.
I wish I had my own personal chef. Kinda like Magic Kitchen - a company that sends you home-cooked meals that you pop into the microwave and they're ready within 10 minutes. The difference between this stuff and supermarket dinners? This stuff is GOOD and good for you - much healthier than that other stuff.
They offer desserts as well. Makes a great gift, too!

I'm Moonstruck for chocolate
I first discovered Moonstruck Chocolate back when attending the opening of Nordstrom at the Natick Collection in Natick, MA. I passed by the storefront (It wasn't yet open) and promised myself that I'd have to go back once it was open. That was back in September and I am ashamed to say that I haven't been back.
Methinks I need to make a special girl's shopping trip to Natick. Who's in?
That's not to say that I haven't tried Moonstruck Chocolate - oh no, their web site if chock-full of goodies that you can have delivered to your door. The chocolate is amazing - but the best part is the intricate designs available. Check out this Ladybug Truffle Collection. Isn't it adorable! It would make a great addition to an Easter basket or even a little treat for yourself - just because.
I'm always amazed at how much chocolate they have available. Not only do they have cute truffles they also have:
An organic section with chocolate and hot chocolate.
Three additional types of hot chocolate, confetti crunch, marshmallows and the ultimate indulgence - chocolate covered marshymallows. I love me some marshymallows.
Moonstruck chocolate gifts and signature items.
And be sure to check out the top 10 best-selling items on the site - see what everyone else is crazy for.
They've even got some decadent chocolate recipes that I just HAVE to try out.
OK, that's it - I'm make a trip right now!

Feel like a millionaire with Steven Victor MD
Hey kids,
I recently received samples of Steven Victor MD's skin care line. I tried it out for about two weeks and loved the way that it made my skin feel. I'm lucky enough to say that I don't have to worry so much about anti-aging, so I gifted my leftovers to my mom - I sure hope she wasn't offended that I thought of her to test this line. From the sound of her review below, I think she's over it!
Here's mom's review
"How often do you wish you were a millionaire? For me it’s everyday that I use Steven Victor MD skin care. I was lucky enough to be given samples sent to try out. I guess I was chosen to give it a go because of the wonderful anti-aging qualities of this line.
I’ve been using the product for about 2 months now. After using it for a month I went back to my regular pots and tubes. After a week I returned to using Steven Victor, and I tell you there is no comparison. It leaves my skin moisturized yet not greasy or shiny. The only complaint I have (whine, whine) is that it is out of my dollar range."

Chocolate good enough to drink!
Think drinking chocolate is the same as hot cocoa? Think again!
According to About.com
"Drinking Chocolates" are made from real chocolate as opposed to "Hot Cocoa" which is made from cocoa powder (the powdery remains of chocolate liquor after cocoa butter is removed). When you purchase a package of drinking chocolate it will often be in the form of chocolate shavings or chunks. As a chocolate lover, I'm pretty ashamed to admit that the first time I ever heard of drinking chocolate was either a) when Janet brought me some back from Paris or b) when Starbucks launched Chantico, a drinking chocolate-type drink. But once I did discover it I fell fast in love.
Drinking chocolates are not instant like hot cocoa. You must add hot milk, cream, or water to the chocolate in order for it to melt and be whisked together. Because of the higher cocoa butter content, drinking chocolates will also be richer and often thicker than hot cocoa.
Of course now I'm on an never-ending quest for the best drinking chocolate out there. Meet my newest best find: Schokinag drinking chocolate. I can't quite decide which is best - Triple Chocolate or Extreme Dark, although this dark-chocolate lover thinks it might just be the triple chocolate.
What does drinking chocolate taste like, you ask? It's nothing like cocoa - nope, think pure chocolate melted with milk. Not as thick as a chocolate sauce, but thicker than a hot cocoa. It's like heave n earth - the best comfort food, ever.
But don't take my word for it - head on over the Schokinag and try their award-winner line of drinking chocolates. You won't regret it!

It's just like Gloves in a Bottle!
The best way to combat dry hands it to slather them with lotion and wear gloves overnight. Or so I've heard. But have you tried to do this? I'm sure I'm not the only one who ended up ripping off hot, moist gloves in the middle of the night.
For soft hands without the gloves, check out Gloves in a Bottle. Every night for a week, I applied this lotion to my hands before bed and pretty soon my hands felt much softer. I had to wonder why. Here's what is says on GlovesinaBottle.com:
Unlike artificial moisturizers, Gloves In A Bottle is a shielding lotion that bonds with the outermost layer of skin cells to turn it into what works like an invisible pair of gloves.I'm convinced. Grab a bottle today on GlovesinaBottle.com or find a store in your area - I've found it at both Brooks/Rite Aid and Walgreens.
These "invisible gloves" prevent dry skin by helping to keep moisture-robbing irritants out while better retaining your skin's own natural moisture, resulting in skin that is far better hydrated, over the long term, than what can ever be achieved by conventional lotions.

My boy knows me well...
He knows I'm a sucker for roses on Valentine's Day, so he had some sent to me. He knows I love chocolate, but that I shouldn't indulge too much, so he gave me two Godiva truffles.
He knows I love yellow and polka dots and everything cute so he braved Victoria's Secret and presented me with the most adorable little slip I ever did see!
I'm so lucky that my boy knows me!
PS - While checking out the slip at Vickie's I also came across this lovely little number. That's certainly going on my wish list!

Take your girls to Bali!
My girls are unique. Don't we all say that? All girls are not created equal and I bet we all run into many of the same issues in our quest for the perfect bra.
My issue? The girls don't conform well to most of the popular full coverage, somewhat padded bras, so I'm usually stuck with something completely unpadded that conforms to the girl's shapes. The only problem? Not enough nip coverage.
I recently discovered the Bali Concealer bra that is made with concealer petals that eliminate this problem. It's still unpadded, yet it provides full coverage and fits the girls unlike any other bra I've used. It's just what I've been looking for!
Thanks Bali!
Hurry on over to your favorite departments stores soon - when you buy a Bali Concealer bra you will receive an instantly redeemable free Estée Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick. This offer is available at select Estée Lauder counters in department stores nationwide while supplies last.

Pattern Body Wash - win it and tell us what you think!
Well, not EVERYTHING, but I think you get what I'm saying.
The Pattern peeps sent me out a sample of each scent (Black Pepper, Citrus, Cucumber and Eucalyptus).
I tried the Cucumber scent and was thrilled with the ultra-clean scent and the bubbles galore.
Janet tried the Black Pepper and she's crazy about the scent (spicy but not like pepper, more like a fragrant spice) and also mentioned that she loved the feel of the lather.
My future sister-in-law tried out the Eucalyptus which worked create to clean her sinuses out in the shower first thing in the morning - but it wasn't too overpowering.
Now, we just have the Citrus scent to report on and I think I'll let one of our readers do the honors.
FREE GIVEAWAY!
Just leave a message in the comments below (your email address will be kept private) and we'll pick one random commenter to try the Pattern Citrus Body Wash and let us know what she thinks of it.

Wine for your face? For sure!
Even though I've been moisturizing since my early teen years, actually I'm pretty bad about taking care of my face. I think it's more like I'm just plain lazy.
In my mind, to use a mask one must lock herself in the bathroom with a celebrity magazine, a hot bubble bath, her hair in a towel and some wine for oh... about an hour or so. Who's got an hour to pamper herself? Not I.
I did finally take the time to try out this Wine Hydrating Mask by Arcona and it only took about 20 minutes of my time and it was totally worth it.
After 20 or so minutes, I rubbed it off with a warm cloth and oooooh, my skin was so soft. I read on the label that it works over time and with repeated use my skin would be a smooth as a baby's bot-tom. Ok, well not a baby's bottom but at least you'll be transported about 10 years or so.
Try it out - it's great paired with a great merlot!

All eyes on Lancôme
I'm loving Lancôme lately. Seems like everything that I try is a winner!
Like many of you, my search the perfect mascara that lengthens and separates my lashes is never-ending. But I may have I've found a winner.
Lancôme's Courbe Virtuôse Divine Lasting Curves Mascara is brilliant! It comes in this curvy tube that matches the shape of the brush which ensures that every single lash receives the perfect amount of mascara without clumping together (I don't know about you but I have major clump issues!) and gives my unruly lashes the previously unattainable perfect curve.
Now Lancôme's Color Design Definitely and Brightening Eye Pencil Duo had me at brightening. I chose a dark color for smokey-eyed nights out. It was amazingly smooth and had just the right amount of smudgeness for a smokin' lookin. The sparkle side added just the right amount of sparkle to the black without overpowering. ![]()

bōbē bath mousse - you MUST try it!
This amazingly soft bath mousse from bōbē (pronounced “beau-bee”) is just like heaven. I tried it out recently and felt like I was washing my skin with fluffy soft clouds.
The best things about it?
- The scent was so good I was tempted to take a bite. I tried Warm Banana Bread and it immediately inspired me to bake up a loaf. (Not crazy about banana bread? No problem, bōbē has a ton of similarly amazing scents available.)
- The soft and creamy consistency felt so smooth and comforting and left my skin soft and moisturized.
- A little goes a long way - I used a tablespoon or two on my pouf and it was more than enough to clean my body (and then some!).
- It makes a great shaving cream!
Be sure to check out the wide varies of body products all available in the same amazing scents and they're all very reasonably priced.
- Bath Mousse
- Eau de Parfum
- Lip Balm
- Luxurious Body Wash
- Moisturizing Body Mist
- Roll-on Perfume
- Silken Cream
- Soy Fabulous Whipped Body Butter
- Sugared Frosting Scrub

Waterloo presents Amelie!
I fancy myself a bit of an Amelie. Not because she's a loner and uber shy (not me at ALL) but because she enjoys making people happy. And she's charming ;)Anyway, I came across this Amelie t-shirt at Waterloo and I had to share. If you're an Amelie fan like me, you'll want to snag it for yourself right now.
Head on over and pick one up or check out their other awesome tees - they've been kind enough to give A Girl Must Shop readers an additional 10% off with coupon code agirlmustshop.
PS - Janet - there's even a Led Zeppelin one!

Hotel Chocolat Rocky Road Slab
Instead, I cracked it out at our small New Year's Eve party and it was a huge hit - especially for my soon-to-be brother-in-law who is a fellow chocolate connoisseur. And by "cracked it out" I mean that I removed it from the refrigerator and purposefully dropped it on the floor with a loud crack. Then again. Then I served the giant slab on a cutting board, preserving it's shape to much oohs and ahhhs from the crowd!
"But how did it taste," you ask? Well, let's just say that many, many more slabs in my future.

Ask for Love Letters for Valentine's Day by Simply Charmed
I think it's the simplicity of this Love Letters necklace by Simply Charmed that attracts me. The sparkly diamond-cut ball chain and the hand stamped sterling letter charms are designed to look classy - just like you and me.
What letters would I choose? Hmm, I might wear a single "M" or an "M" and "J" for me and my fiance. Or if I'm feeling silly I could even get "B" and "B" for my cats Belle & Buddy. I might even spell out the word "HOPE" or "LOVE".
But my favorite use of this necklace is a mother's necklace. Grab your children's initials or you and your children's - it's up to you. What a perfect idea for a Valentine's gift. Just send your favorite V-day gift-giver the URL and specific instructions (We all know how men can be!).
Be sure to check out Simply Charmed for more Love Letters styles and photo jewelry. Don't you just love handmade?

Must Read - "Helping Me Help Myself" by Beth Lisick

I haven't written down any resolutions this year, but I do have a few rolling around in my head that I'm working on. I just feel like if I write them down, I'll fail. While treating myself to my Saturday morning People
fix (my guilty pleasure!) this weekend, I discovered Helping Me Help Myself
by Beth Lisick. In her book, Beth recounts her year committed to her resolutions - get organized, be a better mom, exercise more and strengthen her relationship with her husband.
The thing is - Beth has decided to explore the world of self-help, a world that she's poked fun of her entire life, does not take seriously, and is vehemently against. Over the year she works with 10 of the top self help gurus (She "Cruises to Lost with Richard Simmons who, according to Beth, must have kissed more women in his lifetime than Gene Simmons) and begins to see the reason why they are indeed 10 of the top self help gurus (except John Gray who believes women should still be ready by the door in a dress and heels holding a martini for her husband who has come home from a long day at the office!).
The book is filled with Beth's own brilliant style of quirky humor as she pokes fun at herself and the 10 gurus. It's a style I enjoy from the beginning - finding myself thinking of Beth as a close friend that I travel to odd places with to attend seminars on Christian Marriage, then tossing back a couple of martinis while we laugh over it. The only downer - Beth doesn't like to shop! For shame!
My summary: It's a fabulous, funny book that will inspire you to keep to your resolutions while tongue is firmly planted in cheek.

The Squirrel and the Hedgehog by Mod Cloth: A delightful story
If you're going to go green, you might as well go cute while you're at it. Am I right ladies? Fellow A Girl Must Shop-er Janet (who knows all about my obsessions with all things squirrelly) sent me the link to this squirrel and hedgehog tote by Mod Cloth and I simply must have.
I can certainly justify the purchase since it will help with my resolution to go green this year. I can see it now - The squirrel, the hedgehog and me, living in peaceful harmony.

Hallie says, "I love my lady b!"
Loyal reader Hallie J loves her lady b by Lexie Barnes so much, she had to tell us about it:
"I love my lady b! I got mine for Christmas, but I might need another one in one of the new prints (they aren't available until February). I use it as a knitting bag and it is awesome. It has room for my knitting and has so many pockets for tools and my personal stuff that I don't even need to carry a purse anymore. I just put everything in my lady b and I'm off. Just had to share. I love this bag!!"
Thanks for sharing, Hallie! I love the designs! Be sure to check out the sale page for discounts up to 50% off past fabric designs.

Online gift ideas for last-minute Lucy (and Larry!)
Here are a few of our favorite last-minute holiday ideas:
- Order a Dale and Thomas Popcorn Gift Card
and they'll email your recipient notice of your thoughtful gift.
Have you ever tried Dale & Thomas Popcorn? I had a few bags in front of me and I couldn't stop eating it! Usually I'm not a fan of popcorn, but this stuff was covered in chocolatey goodness. You must try it for yourself.
- It's not too late for a LUSH
E-Gift card - and it can be redeemed online or in stores.
What's LUSH? For shame! For those of you who've never heard of LUSH, be prepared! It's unbelievably delish bath & body store. It's home made, not tested on animals and made of mostly organic goodies. Sound a bit crunchy-granola for ya? Think again! One step inside a LUSH store and you'll be an addict immediately. It smells amazing, the colors and design are bright and funky and the products themselves? Well, they're out of this world. So what are you waiting for. Go git it, girrrrrl!
- Perhaps my favorite last-minute gift card is the Amazon Gift Card.
Not only is it sent directly to my recipient's inbox, it can be used on anything at Amazon.com. What's on Amazon besides books? Everything! They've gotBeauty products
, Magazine Subscriptions

Extra, extra! Get your deadline-free Lancome eGift Certificate
Sometimes when I'm gift shopping, I tend to buy things that I would like to receive. I'm all about the Golden Rule! So I figure since I would love a Lancome eGiftCertificate in my stocking, why not pick up a few for some of my close friends. They come in especially handy when you discover at the last minute that you've inadvertently left an important person or two off your list.
I love it when I'm finished opening presents and I think I'm all done and he surprises me with one more gift. A Lancome eGiftCertificate in my inbox would certainly make wonderful day even better!

ACE his (or her!) gift this holiday!
We all know that guys wait until the last minute to do their shopping - but I'm sure quite a few of us shopping maniacs are still running around trying to find the perfect gift. I'm usually really good about getting it all done within a few weeks of Christmas, but my fiance is just so hard to buy for. He doesn't want, need, or even ask for anything, and short of plunking down a grand for a HDTV, I'm out of ideas.
Then it hit me - he loves working around the house and in the yard - I'm SURE he could use some tools or something that would be used on the lawn. But since I politely refrain from yard work I haven't the slightest clue what he would want. But I do know that a gift certificate would be definitely useful. We've got an Ace Hardware right down the street (I think it's his second home!) and I think I'll head on over and pick him up a gift certificate - easy peasy. Gift certificates too impersonal for ya? Head over to the Ace Hardware Gift Guide and you just may happen upon the perfect gift. Just be sure to keep the receipt!

Presto! You've got mail!
It looks like a printer but it's really an email inbox that lets me (and anyone on her friend's list) send pictures and emails. (Don't worry - no spam here - only people on the specified friend's list can send mail). My Grandmother doesn't have a computer or Internet access, so this works perfectly for her. She can stay up to date with emails and pictures of the family.
How does it work?
- It shares an existing phone line to connect to the Presto Service, uses plain paper and standard HP print cartridges. Connection to the Presto Internet Service only costs $9.99/month or $99.99/year.
- Presto automatically transforms messages into beautiful full-color printouts. Several times per day, on a schedule you choose, the HP Printing Mailbox dials in to the Presto Service to retrieve new messages and prints them in beautiful color-automatically.
- Presto Service includes unlimited
incoming email, photos and free content from the Presto Newsstand.
Comes complete with power cord, phone cord, print cartridge, paper, and
Easy Setup Guide.
- BestBuy.com (Choose Expedited Shipping for Christmas delivery.)
- Buy.com
(Choose next day air for Christmas delivery)
- Amazon.com
(but unfortunately it won't arrive it in time for Christmas)

It's a wonderful life after Garmin!
Once upon a time I had no direction. I'd hop into the car to go somewhere new and I'd get completely lost. I'm usually a great navigator, but even the best navigator can get lost when they don't know where they are or where they're going. I would try, though. I'd faithfully put my trust in Google Maps, yet even equipped with the best, most accurate map in the whole wide world, I can still get lost if I don't know where I am.
I had heard all the wondrous things about GPS, but I always thought they were too expensive for me until the lovely Janet bought a phone with GPS (which she nicknamed Jessamyn) and I just thought that was the greatest thing ever.
I did some research and realized that GPS units were nowhere near as expensive as I thought with some starting around $150. Then I contacted Garmin and they were kind enough to let me test this new love of my life, my baby, the "Garmy" Garmin nüvi 250W 4.3-Inch Widescreen Portable GPS Navigator (that's right baby, that's you - who's your momma, that's right!).
Obvs you can tell that I'm happy with it. So happy, in fact, that I just can't bear to part with it (Yes, sweetheart, parting will be such sweet sorrow). So what about it makes me happy? Oh. So. Much!
- It tells me where I am.
Because really, most of the time I really have no idea. - It helps me find where I'm going.
It's got a huge database of businesses, services, and just about anything else I can think of - or any address anywhere. - It talks to me.
It gets lonely in the car sometimes, and I suspect I'm not alone here. I especially love that Garmy has a voice (one that I discovered could change from American English to British English and a whole lot of other languages I was afraid to even try). - It tells me when to take a turn.
I get distracted sometimes (Ok, Janet, a LOT!) [only sometimes, Meg!] and I have missed a turn on more than one occasion. My Garmy's fancy GPS functionality knows exactly where I am and tells me exactly when I have to take my next turn, 30 seconds before my turn as well as just as I have to take my turn. This is where Google Maps fail - a piece of paper can't tell me where I am and when I should be turning. - It helps to keep me safe.
Have you ever read printed directions or a map while driving? Yeah, me too. But dude, that shizz is dangerous - you could hurt yourself! Garmy, my dearest, gently points me in the right direction without having to take my eyes off the road. - It corrects me when I make mistakes.
Sometimes I don't listen to what Garmy tells me to do. I'm human, I'm not perfect. But what I love about my Garmy is that it doesn't get angry with me when I make a mistake. If I take the wrong turn or miss and exit, it immediately recalculates my route and tells me how to get back on the right route - without raising its voice [unlike me, sorry Meg! - Janet]. - It lets me choose my ride.
I love cutesy little features. My Garmy comes with a few standard cars to choose from (I like the monster truck car!) but I can also download additional cars from the Garmin Garage. How cool is that? - It knows where home is.
And everywhere else I choose to go. I can input my home address and press one button to navigate home from anywhere I am, making me feel all cozy inside. It also remembers the places that I go so I don't have to search for them over and over again. - It silences back seat drivers.
Garmy baby has saved my fiance and I many, many fights in the mere 30 days that I have used it. You see, we both know where we're going yet we rarely agree on how to get there. We don't fight about the directions anymore because Garmy knows it all. I like to put the power in the hands of those who know all the answers. (And before Garmy came along I had the power - that's right!) - It empowers me.
Before I fell in love with Garmy at first sight, I was always reluctant to drive into the city (Boston) myself. It's such a sissy thing, but the city is just so complicated to navigate with six gazillion one way streets, constant construction, traffic, and crazy drivers to deal to boot. Add reading a map or directions to that and you've got a recipe for disaster. I know, I've been there and it always ends up with someone crying (usually me). With Garmy by my side I'm no longer afraid of the big bad city. In fact, I love it. I feel so powerful and confident heading into the city now. In fact, I've been there much more often since Garmy is there to help.
It's very reasonable priced, too. The Garmin web site lists the suggested retail price at around $375, but I know that you can get it at Amazon for about $280. What a freaking bargain, eh?
Be sure to check out the entire family of affordably-priced models. You know you want to!

Save the earth with this Earth Friendly Tote - one plastic bag at a time
Ever since I saw An Inconvenient Truth I've been trying to be a little more gentle with mother earth. One of the things I'm doing is carrying reusable tote bags everywhere I go. This handmade Earth Friendly Tote Bag made with organic cotton by Julie-Marie has definitely come in handy.
I leave it in my car, and whenever I hop into a store (which happens, like, ALL THE TIME!) I roll it up and stick in my purse. When the time comes for my purchases to go into a plastic shopping bag, I whip this baby out and decline the shopping bag. While it puts one less plastic shopping bag out there in the earth, it's much sturdier and larger than most shopping bags and even better - I'm not adding to that annoying bag of plastic bags that live in the closet.
And it makes for a great Christmas present for any earth loving recipient on your gift list.
Why not check out all the other cool stuff at Julie-Marie, they've got makeup bags,
tote bags, drawstring bags,
tissue holders and a whole lot more.

Little Angry Girls say, "Get Your Own Bag, Bitch!"
Admit it, sometimes being a bitch is fun. You know what's even more fun? Being a Little Angry Girl bitch - it's just somehow much more excusable! My fellow contributor Janet and I were walking around Boston on Friday when we happened upon a selection of Little Angry Girl totes.
I wanted them all, but this Get Your Own Bag Bitch tote is my very favorite. Made out of sturdy cotton, this tote measures 14"x12"x4" and has a super secret side pocket (Oops! I guess it's not secret anymore!).
Pick up a Get Your Own Bag Bitch tote on the Little Angry Girls Store for $24.99 or at Hippy Chix Shop for a cool $20.
Grab one for a friend, or as a holiday treat for yourself, but you
should order now because these sassy bags are sure sell out!

The best jazz brunch in Cambridge: Ryles!
This week is my fiance Jimbo's birthday and he got choose where he wanted to celebrate. He chose Ryles.
Located in Inman square in Cambridge, Massachusetts (That's right, pahhhk ya caaaah in Haaavid yaaaahd), Ryles
Jazz Club showcases major, national, and local performers and they make one heck of a brunch!
My Boursin Omelette,
with sauteed spinach,
mushrooms and tomatos, was delectible! I ate every single bite. And the bagel! It's been so long since I had a bagel. That and a strawberry mimosa and I was in heaven. Jimbo had the steak and eggs and mimosa which was thoroughly enjoyed as well.
The best part of the brunch was the jazz, of course. We saw the amazing Patricia Adams and her quartet and I love that she smiled the whole time. She really enjoys her music. She came round the room to sing happy birthday (she got all of us singing) but Jimbo was shy so I didn't have her sing to him. He thanked me for that!
Check out some of Patricia's stuff:

Bye-bye ordinary lotion, hello Skin MD Shielding Lotion
Instead of just patching your dry skin problems like other lotions, a shielding lotion (like Skin MD Sheilding Lotion) repairs the outer layer of skin and turns it into a protective barrier so that moisture stays in the skin where it's needed.
I tried it for a few days and my hands really felt softer. I also used them on the driest area on my body (my feet) and was pleasantly surprised. I'd much rather use a shielding lotion that works to help eliminate lotions altogether. The best part? It wasn't greasy and absorbed amazingly quickly! Love it!
Skill skeptical? No problem. Head on over to the Skin MD web site and grab a free sample (just send a self-addressed stamped envelope OR $2 for shipping and handling). See the Skin MD web site for more details.
I've also found that a few local Walgreen's carry Skin MD, but you can find a store near you on the Skin MD store locator.

FREE GIVEAWAY! Give your man some style with Details Men's Style Manual
As a general rule, men were not born with the shopping gene. Or the style gene. There are certainly exceptions to this rule, but girls, you know what I'm saying.
I have to give my man credit for always leaving the house with clean, pressed clothes. But the clothes themselves? They could use some work. His normal wardrobe is jeans and t-shirts and the occasional sweatshirt. The man needs some style help, for sure!
I think I'll pick up a copy of Details Men Style Manual for him for Christmas. It covers all the dos and don'ts of getting dressed like picking out the right hem and fit of every type of pants and how many buttons you should unbutton on your favorite button-down shirt.
Of course there's a bonus! Every copy comes with a free one-year subscription (a $9.97 value) to Details magazine. Before you know it, he'll be telling you what to wear!
FREE GIVEAWAY!
Get your Christmas shopping started early! Win a free copy of Details Men Style Manual (with the free subscription). Just leave a comment with your man's worst fashion faux-pas. We'll pick one random commenter to win the book. All entries must be received by Friday, November 9, 2007 at 11:59pm EST. Good luck!

It's a sculpture? A vase? A hat? Nope, it's a Dana Elle candle
If you didn't already know what this was, you'd probably it was a sculpture, a fancy vase, maybe a cup, or even a funny looking hat! Would you automatically think it was a candle? Me neither. That's the beauty of these Dana Elle candles - they're works of art. Compared to mass-produced jar candles, these are pleasing to the eye... and the nose.
This candle to the left is infused with the fragrance of Tahitian Vanilla blended with Honeysuckle, Water Lotus, Coconut and Sandalwood upon a base of Heliotrope and Musk. There are seven other fragrances available, each with a different color container. Don't like to color of the container with your favorite scent? No worries - you can purchase a custom candle.
Perhaps the best thing about the candles is that the majority of the materials are hand made locally in Maine; where the Dana Elle is based. The glass is hand-blown by local artisans using techniques perfected by Italian craftsmen. I love the natural soy wax and cotton-paper wick; all-natural good stuff.
Each candle comes elegantly packaged in a black organza bag inside a stylish black box; an elegant gift to give or a luxurious indulgence for yourself.
It's the perfect gift for the candle-lover on your Christmas list.

One of the best things about Red Envelope is that they were one of the first online retailers to donate proceeds of breast cancer awareness products to the cause. They're currently offering thirty products whose proceeds will be donated to the Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women Cancer Research Fund.
What's even better is the products are unique and diverse; they have pink ribbon branded items, but they also offer non branded items like jewelry and plants. Be sure to check out the entire collection.

Sonia Kashuk to the rescue!
How many of you have a full set of makeup brushes? I know I've got a few here, a few there, all different shapes, sizes and colors, in a massive state of disarray. What I wouldn't give for a nice, clean organized set of brushes - but I'd hate to drop a pretty penny on one.
Problem solved with this pretty pink makeup case from Sonia Kashuk available for a mere $19.99 at Target. It's for a good cause, too. A portion of proceeds will go the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Jewelry by Jessica (My idol!)
It's been a while since we posted a piece of jewelry, no? Well, here's Jessica to the rescue. Folks, let me tell you that Jessica is my idol. Just take a look at this picture of her sitting on the funkiest YELLOW couch (is that plastic?) I've ever seen, surrounded by wicked art on the walls. She's also WICKED talented. Check out this wicked necklace on her site. And she makes it with her own bare hands:
Each piece of jewelry is made from clear shrink plastic: I cut the plastic, draw on it, bake it, paint it and varnish it all with my own two mitts! Pendants are hung on 17" leather cording. Because each piece is cut and drawn by hand, each piece is one-of-a-kind with slight variations in shape, size and design.
I've finally come to terms with the fact that I was put on this earth to admire art - not to make it - and I'm just fine with that. So long as there are people like Jessica out there to keep making stuff to admire.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and here at A Girl Must Shop we'll be focusing on companies who donate a portion of the sales of their products to breast cancer research.
Did you know:
- The National Cancer Institute estimates that a woman in the United States has a 1 in 8 chance of developing invasive breast cancer during her lifetime. This risk was about 1 in 11 in 1975.
- More women in the United States are living with breast cancer than any other cancer (excluding skin cancer). Approximately 3 million women in the U.S. are living with breast cancer: about 2.3 million have been diagnosed with the disease and an estimated 1 million do not yet know they have the disease.
- Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in the United States and worldwide (excluding skin cancer). In 2007, it is estimated that 240,510 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed among women in the United States: 178,480 invasive breast cancers and 62,030 cases of in situ breast cancer (of which, 85% will be ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS)).
Breast cancer has touched so many of us, whether we ourselves have been diagnosed, or a friend or family member. Please take a moment and visit these organizations that are dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer, and if you can afford it, please make a donation.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure
National Breast Cancer Foundation
Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization
Living Beyond Breast Cancer
Please feel free to let us know about any more organizations that we should list here.
Thank you,

And there are a ton more adorable images to choose from - something most certainly for everyone!

Things you do that really piss me off
You know sometimes people piss me off so bad that I can't even get the words out (either that, or it's just not worth my breath!). During times like these I just grab my Things You Do That Piss Me Off pad and go to town.
Of course, as I'm searching the choices for the specific act that pisses me off, I inevitably find a few other things on the list that apply. Tick, tick, tick, I sign my name and drop it in their in box. Then I feel oh so much better.
A few of my favorite annoyances on the list:
- pick your butt
- vote republican
- exist

Pomegranate's sea turtles will make you smile! (Plus! FREE giveaway!)
I find it so sad to see the summer waning and fall fast approaching. In fact, I'm boycotting the drab autumn colors and holding on to my cheerful, happy summer brights.
Like this colorful sea turtle pattern that I discovered at Pomegranate, Inc. Here is a dinner napkin with a Sea Turtle pattern that is just perfect for the colors in my kitchen. Of course there are many other uses for the napkins, as Sarah from Pomegranate, Inc., pointed out to me - her dog uses the handkerchief as a bandana. I'd love to see a picture of that, Sarah!
In love with the Sea Turtle pattern, too? Excellent! There are a ton of other products available in that pattern including place mats, table cloths, aprons and various totes and carry-alls.
Be sure to check their 50+ other patterns. There's something there for everyone!
Attention GIVEAWAY!
Leave a comment on this entry telling us which Pomegranate item(s) that you like best. One random commenter will receive a FREE Sea Turtle Cosmetic Bag. All comments must be in by 12am EST on Thursday, September 20, 2007. Good luck! (Please let us know if you have difficulty leaving a comment).

Who doesn't love this Fred Flare owl tee?
This has to be just about the coolest owl tee I've ever seen. Not only is it an owl (an oddly lovable favorite animal of mine), but it's also got tons of hearts and is GLOW IN THE DARK. I. must. have!

Dress for a Cause for Sara Campbell
On Monday night I attended my first fashion show, ever. I know, I know, it's hard to believe, but it's true.
It was an amazing experience. Ms. Magno and I met up at The Boston Harbor Hotel to attend the Dress for a Cause fashion show, hosted by and featuring clothing by Sara Campbell.
I'm glad I was able to attend this as my first fashion show, not only because of the absolutely wonderful clothing by Sara Campbell, but for the cause we were all there supporting - Breast Cancer. So many of us have been touched by the disease - whether we ourselves have been diagnosed, or a family or friend. I, too, have been touched by it personally - my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor - and it's a cause I hold dear to my heart.
What made the even more special, were the models - many of them cancer survivors or closely involved in the cure for cancer. There was not a dry eye in the house! Go ladies!
Proceeds from the show and 100% of the profits of a handful of special products will go to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In addition, 10% of all sales during the month of October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) at Sara Campbell will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and customers also receive 10% off anything pink!
If you're in the area, stop by the Sara Campbell store in Boston's South End. If not, take a look at the items for sale on the Sara Campbell web site. After seeing all the wonderful clothes, I'd say that Sara Campbell clothes were cheerful, bright, and stunning! I definitely want one of every item I saw. But don't trust me. Take a look for yourself:

I shopped 'til I dropped at the Natick Collection
For those of you just tuning in, I spent Friday at the Grand Opening of the Natick Collection and Nordstrom. When I last left you, I was just finishing up my Dior makeover.
Fruits & Passion
Immediately following my makeover, I headed up the escalators to Fruits & Passion to meet up with fellow shopping addict, Lori from Moda di Magno and her husband Tommy who was taking pictures of the new Fruits & Passion store. Lori Magno and I were like a couple of school girls all "Eeeee!" about the shopping event! When we finished jumping up and down, Magno introduced me to the lovely Jessica Phenix, Eastern Territory Director for Fruit & Passions (she has the most amazing eyelashes and the itsy-bitsiest nose ring that I envy!).
She gave me a tour of the store and described their collection - a wide variety of lotions and potions for bath, body, hands, feet, skin, aromatherapy, baby care, household and kitchen care, animal products, and even a selection of gourmet items. Onion Confit with Port? sign me up! I also met up with Carol Ientile, founder and Christine Galasso publicist of C.I. Visions - the PR agency for Fruits & Passion.
It's fair to say that I fell in love with Fruits & Passion at first site and I will definitely be enjoying (and reviewing) their products in the near future.
The Opening
Just about ten minutes before the opening at ten, the band began to play and two large machines blew tons of red, white, black & silver confetti out into the center of the mall. It was amazing. There's just something about confetti that makes people happy!
Immediately following the confetti, I turned around to check out the line of folks getting ready to be the first ones in the new Nordstrom store. It was craziness I tell ya! Just check out the pictures!
The Shopping
Magno and I headed in ourselves, shortly after the herd dwindled and headed over to the shoe section where I saw my first Manolo, and met Rick Stroik who works the shoe department.
I also discovered these this little morsel of goodness, Bettye Muller 'Decor' Pump. I must have it!
Next we headed over to the handbag section where we met up with Allison Hathaway who works the handbag section. We played name that price with a few bags and then chatted it up with Allison who was wearing the most gorgeous purple silk top paired with leggings. The girl has got style!

Next we stopped in the accessories section real quick to try on sparkly headbands and popped over to introduce Magno to Christine from Dior. Christine showed us some Dior perfume. I loved Dior 'Miss Dior Cherie' Eau de Parfum Spray. Christine gave Magno the quickest makeover ever (she looked amazing) and then we bid adieu. Poor Magno had to go back to work.
I on the other hand, had shopping to do. First up, Louis Vuitton. And what did I find upon my arrival? A waiter handing out mimosas. See this? THIS is what shopping should be like. Take notes. I took a glass and sipped my way through the store, falling in love with not one, but two pair of shoes.
I stopped at the New Bare Escentuals store where I picked up a new buki brush.

Took a load off my feet at Shabby Chic (I could live in this store!)

Chatted with some owls at Anthropologie:

And also discovered the scrunchies are back in style:

Discovered a new eatery coming soon - The Moonstruck Chocolate Cafe:

Spied some Juicy pants:

There are a ton of new stores open including Tiffany & Co, Burberry and Coach, and a few new eateries like Sel de la Terre and Finale. I myself, had a sammich at Au Bon Pain and picked up some chocolate dessert at Godiva.
The new mall is amazing and gorgeous. Check out the furniture. It's fancier than what I have at home. You should see the restrooms. The rival the one at the Four Seasons!

A Girl Must Shop at Nordstrom and the Natick Collection
How many ladies do you think would get out of bed at the crack of dawn and attend a beauty tailgating party? If you guessed a heck of a lot you would be correct. In honor of the opening of The Natick Collection and Nordstrom at the old Natick Mall, a beauty tailgating party was held.
I arrived at the party a good 15 minutes before it was set to begin (a yawn-inducing 8am, considering it was a 45 minute rush hour trek for me) and already there were ladies lined up at the humongous buffet, seated at cafe tables, and browsing makeup tables being set-up.
Having stopped at Starbucks for a pumpkin spice latte, I skipped the food and headed right to the tables (there had to be about 40 or more) until Christine Huellman from Dior caught my eye and asked if she could help me. "Sure" I said, "let's do the works!" and off we went! Christine and I had a wonderful time with my makeover. Turns out she's not from the area - she came in just for the event and she's based in New York City where she works as the education development manager at Christian Dior. And she's got awesome lips!
Christine showed me the Dior Capture Totale collection and then applied this Dior 'Diorskin' Airflash Spray Makeup
before applying a little blusher and updating my eye colors. We chose this Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow palette
which was perfect for my coloring and had the right amount of sparkle (almost non at all!) and she followed up with my favorite Diorshow Mascara
. I used this opportunity to ask Christine for tips for dealing with my crooked lashes - I can't ever seem to get them to curl correctly. She suggested using a dry mascara wand (I picked up a few at Sephora) before applying mascara, to curl and brush my lashes into place. "Most people think that you need heat to curl lashes, but you can do just fine with a dry wand", she advised. Thanks for the awesome tip, Christine!
Christine finished me off with HydrAction Mist, and did my lips. She lined around my lips and then filled in the lips with the lip pencil which helps your lip color last longer. I usually go with a neutral rose color for my lips, but Christine thought I needed some bright pink - a hot color this season. I had my doubts, but I put my fate in her hands and was not disappointed. Turns out, when paired with the liner and this... amazing lip gloss it looks amazing and definitely not harsh like I thought it would. Christine talked a lot about blending lip colors to come up with the perfect color. Now I always thought all you had to do was apply lipstick. Oh how naive I was!
Stay tuned for more on my Nordstrom and Natick Collection shopping day!

True Blue baby I love you!
We've all had blueberry muffins, blueberry pancakes, and some of us have even had blueberry salsa. But, have you tried blueberry juice? No? Oh you must!
TrueBlue blueberry juice is an amazing concoction. Not only is it yummy, it's full of those all-important antioxidants and since blueberries are naturally sweet and tasty, TrueBlue is only lightly sweetened with cane sugar (NOT High Fructose Corn Syrup) and has 25% fewer calories per serving than most cranberry-based products. And if that's not light enough for you, they even have a lite version of TrueBlue.
Aaaaaaaand! It makes for amazing blueberry martinis.
I found this one on the Recipes">TrueBlue recipe page.
TrueBluetini:
1 oz. TrueBlue Blueberry Cocktail
1 oz. Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Amaretto
1/2 oz. Cointreau.
Combine TrueBlue Blueberry Cocktail, Triple Sec, Amaretto, Cointreau and ice.
Shake and strain into a martini glass.
Here's what I came up with:
A Girl Must Shop Bluetini:
1 oz. TrueBlue Blueberry Cocktail
1 oz. Blueberry-flavored vodka (I like Stoli)
1/2 oz. Godiva chocolate liqueur
1/2 oz. Irish cream
Pour it all over ice. Shake 'til you can't shake no more! Pour (sans ice) into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with blueberries if you want to look cool!
Whatcha waiting for? Find TrueBlue at a store near you.
AND sign up for the TrueBlue email list and get a coupon for $1 off.

These candles are Scandle-ous!
I recently discovered this great new candle called the Scandle. It's a scented candle made of FDA approved ingredients including palm kernel oil, shea butter, cosmetic grade soy butter, vitamin E, body safe fragrance and essential oils that's good for you and the environment.
What's even better are the different uses for the candle. Not only can you light the Scandle like any other candle and burn it for ambiance and fragrance, but you can also use the liquid as a body moisturizer, massage lotion, as a cuticle treatment for manicures and pedicures.
I tried the lilac scented Scandle and it is different from other candles out there. I mean, what other candle can be used as a massage lotion and on your cuticles. In fact, I'm almost finished with the lilac and I'm thinking about trying the lavender one, next. I bet that one will be really good for relaxing massages.
