Highly recommended by Norman's mother
What better way to celebrate this frightful time of year, than with a classic scary movie! For me, nothing beats Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 thriller Psycho, which is now available in a Collector's Edition on widescreen in its original aspect ratio. There's some great extras on this DVD, including Hitch's original trailer, and a 90-minute documentary on the making of the film! See this black and white masterpiece as the first audiences did, on a big screen in a dark room, with lots of popcorn. And maybe skip your nightly shower, just this once.

Let me tell you how to get, how to get back to Sesame Street
Do you remember Sesame Street before Elmo? It's scary, but to a lot of kids growing up now, Sesame Street IS Elmo. Personally, I prefer the days when Sesame Street was less of a merchandising tool for toy companies, and more of a grassroots experiment in the then largely unchartered waters of children's programming. Like when Grover taught us the difference between near and far, and the animated pinball machine helped us count to ten. And when Bob, Gordon, Maria and the rest of the gang delivered valuable life lessons in their garishly glorious plaid 70s fashions. Classic.
If you were a kid during the early years of Sesame Street, and you know a toddler who can appreciate some vintage muppet humor and maybe a bit of Spanish to boot, definitely check out Sesame Street - Old School, which covers some of the greatest hits of this landmark children's show from its inception in 1969, till 1974. I'll be buying this for my 2-year-old niece this Christmas!

This would be fun with some Chocolate Martinis! Do you know who made the first chocolate bar? This and many other questions will put all you chocolate lovers to the test. Yeah, you know who you are! I have a feeling I know who will win! I found this game online at Calliope Boutique! A great gift for you, me and anyone who loves chocolate! Indulge!

The best jazz brunch in Cambridge: Ryles!
This week is my fiance Jimbo's birthday and he got choose where he wanted to celebrate. He chose Ryles.
Located in Inman square in Cambridge, Massachusetts (That's right, pahhhk ya caaaah in Haaavid yaaaahd), Ryles
Jazz Club showcases major, national, and local performers and they make one heck of a brunch!
My Boursin Omelette,
with sauteed spinach,
mushrooms and tomatos, was delectible! I ate every single bite. And the bagel! It's been so long since I had a bagel. That and a strawberry mimosa and I was in heaven. Jimbo had the steak and eggs and mimosa which was thoroughly enjoyed as well.
The best part of the brunch was the jazz, of course. We saw the amazing Patricia Adams and her quartet and I love that she smiled the whole time. She really enjoys her music. She came round the room to sing happy birthday (she got all of us singing) but Jimbo was shy so I didn't have her sing to him. He thanked me for that!
Check out some of Patricia's stuff:

Don't pass up Pass the Pigs!
When my nieces spent the weekend recently they wanted to play a game, when they came out of the game closet with Pass the Pigs I could not stop laughing.
Why? I've had the game since the early 90s and it's never been open. I have no idea why we waited this long to open it. But once they opened it, we had the best time ever playing this very addicting, simple game and inexpensive game (only around $9).
It brought back memories of playing games with my family and friends. Now, my nieces are sharing those same memories of their own. I'm going to buy it for them for Christmas so they can play it at their house.
It's a great gift for If you have young kids, young family members or someone who's young at heart, this gift would be the best game for them to get.
Pass the pigs comes in a small case that holds two pink rubber pigs, a small pencil & pad of paper. The directions are very simple and it even shows you the positions the pigs need to be to score points. Whats even better it does not take up a whole lot of room and can be played pretty much anywhere.

Cool movies on the cheap with Netflix!
In case you didn't know (because I didn't), Netflix sells their used DVDs. This is a perfect gift for my father who is impossible to buy for. He has a HUGE DVD collection, I would say its sort of a hobby for him, so this has been a great find for me. Shipping is free so costs are low and DVDs are from $5.99 - $9.99. I just bought four movies for $32, along with some pajamas, popcorn and chocolate he is going to be one happy Pop!
