I love me some cashmere!
I found this fabulous deal today while Christmas shopping. These adorable Cashmere "Pop Top" Gloves come in three different colors: pink, yellow and green. They remind me of when I was a much MUCH younger when I anticipated the snow, missing school and making snowmen. They're quite the bargain at $21.98. Real cashmere for under $25! We're not putting you on - you'll be putting these on!

Add a little bling to your groove thing
It seems like just about everything nowadays is festooned with bling and I'm a huge fan - I, for one, love to sparkle. Reader Cindy just told me about this set of sparkly earbuds that you can use with any personal audio device, including MP3 players, CD players and personal computers. They include wind-up storage case and not only can you choose white or black earbuds to match your audio device, but you can also choose from while, blue, pink and purple rinestone colors. The best part? They're a steal! Originally $19.99, they're now 50% off at $9.99. Rush over and grab yours before they're gone!

Maybe its time to trade in the bottle opener?
While certainly handy, my current bottle-opener key chain (a relic of my former years) is an exact carbon-copy of my fiance's and I have, more than once, left the house with his instead of mine. In my search for a cuter and *eh-ehm* more mature keychain, I found this fancy one. I love it! The pink heart-shaped mother-of-pearl overlay goes perfectly with the silver key chain and hides a locket for your favorite (7/8" x 1") photo. This pretty little keychain is suitably must more mature and even has a round charm that can be monogrammed with up to three initials. Brilliant!

Pretty In The Most Delightful way!
Lately it's been a little rainy. Although it's been a light rain it's just enough to make my hair flat real quick! Pulling out my umbrella recently, it occurred to me that I had this big, old and very unattractive umbrella. Why hadn't I noticed this before? I was quite embarrassed when I took a good look at it. Yes, it's time for a new one. When was the last time I purchased one? Never! I think I was given the one I had and I don't even know by whom, that is how old it is!
So, the search began. Big ones, bright ones, striped ones, so many! I wanted something pretty and unique so I checked out one of my favorite shopping sites, Satinbox, and I found just what I was looking for. The Mary Poppins Umbrella! So pretty, so feminine and pink with little black dots! Although the price was a little more than what I wanted to spend I figured it was a good investment When would I purchase one again? So I might as well get what I want! Just in time for spring!

No More Homely Hydration!
Nope! I'm ridding my cabinets of all the ugly water bottles that I own. As I rummaged through, it occurred to me that what I had was a slew of mismatched, unattractive, and worn out plastic bottles. Some had lost their shape and their design. That's it! I want a nice water bottle that I would not be embarrassed to carry and one that was made well. Guess what? I found it! Not only is the Fantasy Lifestyle Bottle pretty but it is Eco-friendly, durable and you have the option of eleven different tops to choose from. Now my water bottle will look as good as I do! ;) Other designs include Hello Kitty, Love Potion, Heavy Metal, Yin Yang and many more. All available at My Sigg!

SUN Skin Worshipper!
Oh how I love the sun and how it feels on my face. BUT... the damage isn't worth it! I try to keep my sun exposure to a minimum (some is beneficial) or use a really good sunblock.

Uv Sol Beads let you know when you've had enough. Just wear the bracelet and when the color of the beads changes from off-white to color-> Ding! Your done! Protect your skin! Yes, I can justify this little expenditure...after all it's for my health! Order one for only $4.95 + shipping ($0.74).

Pretty Passport Protection!
I am the proud new owner of my very own passport! I'm sure you've all heard about the passport dilemma that has been plaguing the nation. I was part of it and now that I finally have my passport in my hand I'm not letting go. The day it arrived was a big relief for me and it felt like gold in my hands. For those of you who have been waiting like me you know what I mean. To celebrate my long awaited arrival of this precious necessity? Hmmm... a passport cover for my little treasure? Definitely! At handigift.com I found two that I love- Fresh Bloom and Lime! Etsy also has these same covers!

Cool Cup Clothing
I have a confession to make: I am addicted to Starbucks! Of course I live in a town in the middle of nowhere that has six gazillion Dunkin' Donuts but not a single Starbucks. It's a sad state of affairs, I know.
I do make the best of it, though, and pick up my decaf-non-fat-no-whip-sugar-free-hazelnut-latte when I do find a Starbucks, whether I want one or not. I just bring it home, stick it in the fridge and reheat it the next morning. Brilliant!
The thing about Starbucks is that their drinks are so darn hot that I need to use one of those cup sleeves every time I'm there (and I'm there a lot!). It's just one more thing that I have to throw in the recycle bin when I get home, and I'm trying to help the environment by cutting down on my waste.
I'm super-glad that I found an excellent alternative: Cup Couture, fabric re-usable sleeves that help cut down on my waste, keeps my fingers from burning, and makes my latte look lovely.
They come in all kinds of designs including some designs for the fellas. Don'tcha wish you had invented it!?

Flowers that are always in bloom!

These Felt flower pins are a great way to dress up a sweater/jacket and come in all sorts of color combinations. Made in Lowell is where you'll find all the details about these cute flowers and their creator.
Liz was more than happy to create one up for A Girl Must Shop and we opted for white/pink petals with a brown button center. Soooo Pretty! I know just where to place it...on that plain black jacket, or maybe on my blue sweater!
It doesn't stop at the felt flowers; she also makes jewelry, ornaments, and note cards. Look around..you will not be disappointed! Ornaments? That reminds me, Christmas is a little over five months away and I going to start my shopping right here!

Why didn't I think of the Bosom Button!?
There are a myriad reasons why I need to pin the top of my blouse. But the biggest reason (besides my boobs) is that I am five feet tall, therefore my tops are cut too low. Cute if I am going out with my fiance; not cute if I am going to the office or a meeting. Normally I'd use a safety pin, a paper clip, elastics, or I'll wear a tank top under my blouse. I'm thankful that the bosom button was invented, unfortunately, i just wish it were me.

Do more than just wish. Make a wishlist!
Every year my siblings and I do a Secret Santa because there are just so many of us (3 biological, 3 step-sisters)! We always exchange emails with what we want, but I know that I can never spit out a list in one sitting. I find things along the way and add them to my mental list and then forget about them when it's necessary.
This Christmas, I discovered the wishlist site Wishpot.com where you can add items to an
online wislist and send a link to your friends and family to view. I even have a widget of my website! So when the "Secret Santa" email went out, I simply said "View my wishlist!"
o if you don't know what to ask for I invite you to view the guides I put together at Wishpot. I've made lists for men, women, children and pets (they have feelings too!). The prices range from budget friendly to splurge-tastic (One thing I learned when making my bridal registry-always include expensive items because you just never know what some people are willing to spend)!
If you don't have time to scan my guides, here are some quick ideas that I would either really want or want to give:
For Men- Budget: Dude Food: Recipes for the Modern Guy, $6
- Splurge-tastic: Brooks Brothers: University Striped Scarf, $248
- For Women

- Budget: Animal Print Heart Bracelet, $5.95
- Splurge-tastic: Angelique De Paris' White Topaz Bangle Bracelet, $240
For Children- Budget: Kids Cookbook, $7.95
- Splurge-tastic: 50's Diner, $149
For Pets- Budget: Personalized ID Tags, $19
- Splurge-tastic: Eco-Fleece Pet Bed, $119

The sock and cleavage alternative
Different. But very clever. Those were my first thoughts after stumbling upon these "secret stash" money bracelets on Etsy.com
First I thought that this would be great for teenagers or tweens who want to carry money for school but don't want to worry about a purse or bulky wallet.
Or when you're on a bike ride into town and need money for lunch or to shop.
The Colonia NJ designer offers these $15 cuffs in a variety of colors and 3 sizes-small, medium and large. And they're not just limited to money: vitamins, hotel keys, house keys, coupons, credit cards, etc.
My final verdict: these are cute, but I can't decide which one I'd want! But I have an 8 year old niece who would love the kid designs!

Networking with style
I recently started my own business. My business cards are on order and I can't WAIT to start networking. Every smart businessperson knows that you need to be clever and creative to make people remember you. Some stand out with business cards or play-on-word business names, but why not make a statement with your business card case!
Whoever said being a professional meant you have to be boring and
neutral obviously doesn't watch What Not To Wear or read the latest fashion magazines! I mean, Pah-lease, I wear red patent leather shoes with black pants or fishnet tights and knee-high boots with an Ann Taylor Loft dress.![]()
But enough about my wardrobe and back to the important topic: Make-a-Statement business card cases. Cast your eyes on the sparkling crystals shining back at you. Yes, these are Swarovski crystal business card cases from AllThingsTrendy.com. Clear Crystal, Pink Crystal, Leopard Print Crystal, and more. If the lighting is right at your next networking event, you're bound to blind them with your fabulousness, professionally speaking.
Now I realize that $42.99 for a business card case may seem a little high, but these are Swarovski crystals and this is your career we're talking about. You have to spend money to make money right?

For the sports-fan-bride-to-be
But let's look at the Green Bay Packers: Green and Yellow. Umm, I think not. Did anyone see
So what do you get the die-hard sports fan bride so her pictures don't scream: "I love my team so much I did a theme wedding!"? A sport-theme garter!
Garters by Krisit on Etsy offer football, baseball, hockey, college, basketball and even military theme garters. With each purchase you get 2 items: a keepsake garter with sheer colored organza and the team logo and the toss garter with the team name and colors. And in keeping with the traditional wedding day poem, Kristi has included a "something blue" in every design: a tiny blue bow on the inside of the garter. From $21.99, a garter by Kristi is like your own sexy little secret tribute to your team.

Sock and awww
During a normal winter season we expect to wear a lot of layers, but this year Mother Nature has been especially unforgiving. And layers are not extremely flattering. (Unless of course you're going for that Michelin Man look.)
However, I was able to find a way to keep warm all with a cute accessory saved over from fall. Remember those over-the-knee socks everyone and their mother was sporting with boots and skirts? Well, däv has come out with super-soft ones, and I've been hiding them under jeans until I can wear them with skirts again. In this crappy economy, I'm all for an item of clothing I can stretch into two seasons.

Trend Alert: Armwarmers
So it's a Thursday night and I'm waiting for Burn Notice to start. With nothing really to watch in the meantime, I start scanning my OnDemand menu and stumble upon Video Fashion Daily's coverage of New York Fashion Week. And I was just in time to catch one of my favorite designers: Michael Kors. It seems that not only are leather booties the go-to runway shoe, but neon is making a comeback and so are armwarmers. Fingerless armwarmers (or really long fingerless gloves).
Worn under a winter jacket or trench coat, armwarmers just look like another pair of gloves. But worn with a short sleeved top or dress, now they are kind of rock-and-roll. And I like it! I'm always looking for something a little edgy but not over-the-top. However, if you are someone who likes to stand out, get yourself a pair of striped or checkered gloves.
You can find these trendsetters anywhere gloves are sold. I can bet that if they're showing up on the runways, they'll be dangling from accessory trees at Macys, Bloomies and Nordstrom's shortly (unless they already are and I'm totally behind the 8-ball on this one). You can also find the more budget friendly versions at Etsy or Threddies.com.

Never lose your keys again
I just about went berserk this weekend when I couldn't find my keys. I looked everywhere and low and behold, they were buried at the bottom of Maddy's diaper bag.
I took it as a sign that I needed to either get a hook to hang my keys on or get myself a big, bold and colorful key chain that was preppy and girlie and big enough to be at the bottom of a diaper bag and still be visible.
Enter: key fob wristlets from Sewgracious on Etsy.
These fobs are so gorgeous, I could marry them! They have floral, damask, animal print, mod print and stripes. My personal favorite is the black damask on hot pink. For $6 a pop, they're quite a steal and you can guarantee not to lose your keys again. You may just find them in the hands of a little one who not only loves pretty colors but chewing on the car clicker as well.
Where else can you find key fob wristlets?
- Girly Twirly Gift Company
- The Creative Cupcake (they have little critter fobs)
- Ritaville Designs
- Lauren Nicole Monogrammed Gifts

Jewelry on your own terms
Twisted Silver jewelry lives by its name: pieces that are made into twisted and funky designs. It also lives up to the idea that sometimes you just want to add a twist to your wardrobe and be a little funky. That's Twisted-Silver.
From necklaces to earrings to rings and bracelets, you will find an entire collection of hand-crafted pieces made from metals like Copper, Silver and Brass which is a signature element.
I was fortunate enough to sample 3 products from the collection:
The Beatnik Necklace Antiqued Silver, Serenity Earrings and the Diva Necklace<
The Beatnik Necklace($50) has an antiqued silver finish and surprisingly clasped in the front, which is another signature T-S design. What's great about the necklace and many of T-S's products, is they are interchangeable. Instead of wearing the Beatnik as a necklace, I wrapped it around my wrist for a touch of rocker-chic. Pair with Twisted Hoops Silver earrings when worn as a bracelet.
The Serenity Earrings($40) reminded me of a Gypsy coin belt or even a belly dancer's costume. When wearing larger statement earrings, you want to keep the rest of your ensemble pretty simple. These earrings were a nice complement with my cream sweater. Pair these earrings with the Zen Bracelet or the Beatnik Belt Gold
The Diva Necklace($50) was my favorite of all three. Its asymmetrical design of antiqued brass flowers was a perfect accessory for my "NYC daytrip" outfit or a white shirt and brown v-neck sweater. Unexpected designs like the Diva Necklace make good conversation pieces especially when paired with neutral colors. Pair with the 7 Bracelet for an edgy look or the Whisper Bangle for something softer.
Check out Twisted Silver at their website for more funky and classic designs and follow up on which celebrities are a little twisted too!

Megan's Wedding Day Survival Kit
If you didn't know, AGirlMustShop.com founder Megan is getting married soon, then you haven't been a dedicated shopper!
Megan is getting married this coming weekend and as all brides before her must do, we must instill our wisdom and advice to ensure her day goes as smoothly as planned.
When I got married, 2 of my bridesmaids were already married and knew what worked, what to bring, what to delegate, etc. (they are also very very organized). I was in good hands with them as my right and left hand girls. And speaking of 'what to bring,' a bride should always have a safety kit for some of those just-in-case, million-in-one-chance, you-never-know instances. Because you know that if you didn't prepare, something was bound to go wrong! Not to scare you Megan!
So in honor of Megan's wedding day, and other brides getting married soon, I wanted to share a "Wedding Day Survival Kit" that I made recently as a door prize for a local Bridal Expo. You've got a tote with the word "bride" (just in case you had to show some proof of wedding at the door), "something blue" with the big blue Gerber Daisy attached, and plenty of helpful tools that you may or may not need on your big day. Here is the list:
Tide-to-Go: If you drop mascara on your dress
White Out: To touch up a chipped French Manicure
Lint Rollers: If your pet is in the wedding, you don't want him/her on your groom's pants too
Plastic wine glasses and corkscrew: Loosen up with friends before the ceremony...or afterwards in the limo
Super Glue: In case you or someone else loses a heel
Thank You Notes: Just when you think that you're done writing them, more presents come in the mail!
Compact Mirror: So you don't have to use the tinted window in the limo as a mirror
Cosmetic Case with Lip gloss, Fashion tape, bobby pins and makeup sponges
Note Pad: In case you are a "To Do" list person and to keep your brain in check
Other key items: Safety pins & Travel sewing kit, Tylenol, Hand sanitizer, bubbles (just for fun), Sugar-Free mints.
Congrats Megan and enjoy the day!

already in summer mode and so is my talented friend Lori.

Stopping
by her blog yesterday, I discovered that, just like me, Lori is
definitely ready for summer. Just check out the latest addition to her

School may still be in session, the
water may be too cold and the clam shack has yet to open for the
summer, but that doesn't mean that you can't be ready for summer. Hop
on over to modi di magno and pick up summer charms. You never know, it might help summer come even sooner!
UPDATE!
Lori has graciously donated an item to giveaway to one lucky reader. To enter, leave a comment on this entry telling us which of these summer necklaces is your favorite. We'll choose one commenter at random who will receive the item

Say good-bye to headband headache
No longer just a nod to the 50s, headbands are now a must-have accessory for all hair types. And they're so cute!
But there's one thing that I don't like about headbands: the headband headache. With most headbands I start off fine at the beginning of the day, but as the day wears on, headband headache rears it's ugly head, forcing me to forgo my headband and don post-headband hair. Not an attractive look.
Hailed by the Today show and Health Magazine as "the NO Headache Headband," Violet Love's SIGNATURE Headband Line solves my many headband woes. Not only to they eliminate headband headache, they come in a ton of adorable colors, prints, and designs on buttery soft and perforated fabrics to match any outfit. Great idea! I'll have to get one to match all of my outfits!
