Big Pimp'n in my Chevy Malibu
When my husband bought an SUV I adopted his VW golf and it turned out to be a mistake. It was a little loud, a little clunky, a little stiff and way too much standard (I'm getting too old for a stick). So I've been shopping for a car for about six months or so. I wanted a roomy mid-size sedan that was quiet and comfortable and if you read my profile; I am cheap, well frugal. That makes things REALLY difficult. I drove every 2004-2006 used sedan that was under 15k. I fell is love with a 2002 Jaguar x-type and my husband said NO! So whats a girl to do? Look harder.
However; whilst looking, I got into a minor accident putting the search on hold for a month. I always tell myself "everything happens for a reason" and this time proved so. The 2008 Chevy Malibu was rolled out at my local dealership. Then I saw it up close and personal at a local mall and then I read the reviews.
This vehicle has it all: style, value, performance, economy, and for the first time in many years, the promise of pride in your purchase. - intellichoice
I opted for the "cheaper" 4-cylinder base model (around 20K) that comes standard with everything including automatic, cruise control, traction control, OnStar free for a year and an XM radio w/a free three month subscription (80's and 90's programed in within the first minute, of course). Seriously!
Now, If I could just find a way to work out of my car.
