I was talking amongst a group of friends when someone mentioned Designhergalscom - a site where you can design stationery, stickers, t-shirts, and a tons of other fun stuff that looks just like you! She sounded very excited and went on about all the possibilities.
I visited and the web site immediately became ridiculously addictive. You start out in a dressing room, you then choose a gal type, eye color, skin tone, hair style, and hair color. Then the fun begins! Choosing your outfit—tops, bottoms, shoes, and then accessorize to your hearts content.
Once your gal is made they offer a ton of personalized unique gifts for almost any occasion (a fun gift for yourself-ish, too). T-shirts, aprons, business cards, e-cards, note cards, mugs, stationary, invitations and much more!
Now for the serious stuff. The passion and purpose of design her gals is to raise funds and awareness for Stage 4 breast cancer patients. Stage 4 Breast Cancer means that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body such as the lungs, liver or bones. Stage 4 is a "critical stage, when health insurance benefits may be reduced or canceled - and hospice care is hard to find. It is their goal to raise $1 million in three years for the Gal to Gal Foundation.
